The Palms Down percussion ensemble has created an exciting CD for dance and movement, using live Afro-Percussion music. In the beginning, From Birth to the Earth, was being used by instructors at the Alvin Ailey School of American Dance, Broadway Dance Center, Steps, and New York University. Now From Birth to the Earth can be heard worldwide. Whether the style is modern, tap, African, or even theatre dance, teachers from Chicago to Portugal to Japan are enjoying our style of percussion music.
The Palms Down Percussion Ensemble takes you on a world tour of rhythms, while remaining true to the dance class experience. The tempos range from slow and exotic, to fast and exhilarating, making it ideal for your warm-up and combinations alike.
